Delicious Chocolate Brownie Recipe

Using ingredients like sweet potatoes, cashew butter, and chocolate whey protein, these brownies are a perfect treat for anyone looking to enjoy a healthier dessert.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mashed sweet potato (about 1 large sweet potato)
  • 1/4 cup cashew butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp cup cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop Nutricost's Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons of almond milk

Instructions:

  1. Soften the sweet potato (Poke holes in the whole sweet potato then bake or microwave)
  2. Remove the skin (careful, potato will be hot!)
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch (or similar size) baking dish with parchment paper.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the mashed sweet potato, cashew butter, and maple syrup. Stir until smooth. 
  5. Gradually mix in the cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder until everything is well incorporated.
  6. Add almond milk based on desired consistency.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Evenly spread the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Allow brownies to cool completely then cut into squares. Enjoy!
