Nutricost Calcium + Magnesium + Zinc Citrates with Vitamin D3 Powder

Great way to get your zinc, calcium, and magnesium. I prefer this to pill or capsule form because I also know I'm getting my water intake too. Dissolves very well and tastes great. I definitely feel more relaxed after drinking.

I've been using various supplements from Nutricost for some years now, and I trust them because I've never had any negative issues with them, and the things I've tried have worked as they should. I thought this would be an interesting powder to try, since I take both magnesium and D3 daily, and zinc before flu season, etc., so I can substitute this in for quite a few pills, which is nice. It has good amounts of all three - magnesium D3 and zinc, plus some calcium citrate. I like that it's flavored with stevia instead of sugar, and beet for color instead of red dye. Some people may not like that, but I'm used to stevia, and I think this tastes quite good. I've put it in smoothies, in water, in juice and in iced tea, and it works in all of them, though in straight water is my least favorite. In regular drinks I zap it quickly with my little portable milk frother, and it blends right up. It's great in smoothies. The price is right, at about $22 for a two month supply - that's with using it every day. I've been using it as a pleasant substitute for several different pills three or four times a week, so it will probably last me up to three months. I'm quite happy with it.

It tastes pretty good. It mixes and dissolves well in water. It has a nice smooth taste and it's refreshing when poured over ice.

I'm not sure I'm benefiting from the minerals in this mixture, but I know they're supposed to be good for me and the formula tastes good so I'm giving it 5 stars. I was already taking calcium and magnesium supplements before ordering this powder, which is why it's hard for me to tell if any thing significant has changed. I don't feel more energetic, nor do I feel like I sleep better, but I don't feel things have gotten worse either. What I like about this supplement is that it combines 3 important minerals in one mixture, which means less pills to take. I like to mix the powder into a smoothie every morning--it makes the smoothie taste better and I feel absorption may be better in powder form versus pill form, but that's just speculation on my part. I plan to stick with this concoction.
