Dissolves in hot liquids well

I bought this to see if it would be a good prebiotic as the capsules I had been taking used it as the primary ingredient. I much prefer purchasing any herbal supplement in a powder form as to be able to control the dosage better. After about two weeks of use, this seems to be working as I had hoped.

great ingredient for a variety of things

I have used the nutricost brand for many things and they have always offered highly competitive prices and quality products. I've never tried inulin by itself before, it tastes sweet, I'd say ~25% as sweet as sugar, and it has it's own unique taste; if cotton candy was ever made from a root, this one is it. It's a great thickener if you mix it with a liquid and heat it up.
