Nutricost L-Lysine Powder

We purchased this product after reading a report regarding the possible benefits associated with C-19. Unfortunately, a family member was diagnosed the day I received my order, so I passed mine along to them. They were very happy with how much better they felt within a few days of starting this (along with C, D and Zinc). (You can research the benefits on line and decide if it's right for you) I have always used Nutricost products because of their high quality, effectiveness and price. We chose the powder form because it easily dissolves in liquids with absolutely no taste, while the pills tend to be HUGE and difficult to swallow. I also use Nutricost Marine Collagen powder and love it! Great for your skin, hair, nails and more importantly, for your joints! Highly recommend!

Great Product and a Great Value

Due to my cats eye inflammation my vet suggested Lysine to help the eyes and overall health a good idea. Although it has been in use only a few days seems to agree and I find my older cat with more energy. This came in a large container and the amount prescribed it should last a long time. I'm pleased with the small granules that mixes well with the wet food I give them. Maybe I should be taking it too!

This is a lifesaver for my cats. I adopted them from a shelter and both have the herpes virus causing persistent and lately often severe upper respiratory issues among other health issues. I started using this in their wet food and also added it to their water. It dissolves quickly, and they seem to drink more water now if it has the lysine in it. Since I’ve started using this, both of my cats are in excellent health with no more stuffiness, sneezing, discharge, difficulty breathing, etc. Also is great for my cat who has lots of food allergies because this is simply lysine with no flavor enhancers like the pet versions have. You also get a lot for the price. Very happy I gave this a try and wished I had purchased it sooner.

Canker sores are a sign of a lack of Lysine. I have taken 500mg lysine daily for years and haven't had a canker sore until since I switch to this brand. AND im using 1000mg vs 550 mg of my prior brand. Makes no sense that I would become symptomatic when I'm using twice the amount of Lysine as before.
My prior brand.... 1\4th teaspoon equal 550mg....however with this brand 1/8th teaspoon equals 500 mg. How could the same amount of powder have twice the amount of lysine in this new product?
None of my prior brands have fillers so hello lysine is lysine and all other brands 1\4 teaspoon is 500mg vs 1000mg
I'd like to make a very important suggestion to these companies. SIMPLY state 1/8 1/4 1/2 or 1 teaspoon equal blank lysine vs use the plastic scoop as a measuring tool. Health-conscious people don't want to use plastic they would rather use their stainless steel measuring spoons. Also its easy to figure out with normal measuring devices. Am i missing something? According to the directions I'm taking a thousand mg a day and I'm symptomatic whereas 500 mg a day was fine with every other brand I've used for years.
If the manufacturer reads this would they please just say 500 mg equals how much of a teaspoon?.
