No taste from this unflavored rice protein powder. I used it in my smoothie and found that thesmoothie was not thick like with pea protein, rather, it didn't add much texture at all! I like that! While I like the brown rice protein powder for a different protein source, it is not a total protein like pea protein. I add in the proper ingredients to ensure that I am getting a total protein. I like this one!
I am impressed with this supplement. The power mixes smoothly into any hot beverage or a cold glass of water too. In cold it takes a little longer to mix, but not much. There is not taste but the consistency is creamy and I am going to add it to a steaming cut of hot cocoa to enjoy the creaminess of this protein powder. The container is huge and this should last a long time.
Love the purity of this product. Only one ingredient which is organic rice protein, hard to find pure products lately. Tastes exactly like rice. I mixed 8 oz of Soy milk with one serving of rice protein and it tasted very delicious like sweet rice milk. I used a shaker bottle and it blended great, no residue. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an excellent quality organic rice protein.
This is exactly what it says it is: a giant tub of protein powder that's like 5 lbs. It has no added scent or falvourings, and doesn't have that weird after taste that soy or whey protein powder has. The taste is pretty neutral. That said, it will suck the sweetness out of whatever you put into it, so you might have to add a bit of sweetener to whatever it is you're mixing this into. I made a smoothie with 1 scoop of protein powder, banana, strawberry, apple, and mango. There was ZERO sweetness left after I made it, so I added a squirt of agave to the works, and it came out well.
I use this primarily as an add in to my baking to boost the protein content and make my baked goods more nutritious. I like that it is simple to use and vegan. I had used whey protein powders previously and find that this works just as well without changing the taste of my recipes. I have added it to other cooked foods with success as well. It does add calories, but all protein does and I think it's worth it for the added nutrition.
