I found the after taste difficult to wash away.

I was hoping to add a small amount to the ingredients for ice cream.

    Powdered lactase

I bought this because people were reviewing saying that they could mix it with milk and that did not work well for me. It all curdled.

    It works but tastes bad.

It works but it makes the drink taste somehow waxy and a bit of a strange aftertaste. I bought it because I wanted to mix it with my powdered creamer and powdered cocoa mix. I returned the item.

    Not buying it again!

This lactase enzyme did not make the milk palatable. as a matter of fact a curdled and rotted most of the milk within minutes to an hour. Rendering any milk that it was added to terrible in flavor unpalatable to eat and eventually sour and curdled. This company has a terrible return policy and tells Amazon that it requires the product back. If you're on the fence about it just don't buy it and go find a reputable brand name.

    Works better than tablets

Grand kids are highly lactose intolerant, a little of this sprinked on ice cream or anything cheesey or stirred into yogurt or cottage cheese and no problem! Works better than the tablets. However, if we stir it into milk or yogurt to let it sit to make "lactose free" it does weird things, makes it like spoiled, so it is really only good for immediate use. It doesn't change the flavor or texture at all.
